With free shipping, we determine shipping method (postal, UPS, or FedEx, or personal delivery). We cannot guarantee delivery times with free shipping. Typical transit times are shown on this map:
Novel Electronic Designs, Inc (BuzzerSystems.com) will ship-to-arrive by a given date, but ONLY when we work directly with the customer via PHONE CALL.
When you request a specific delivery date, we will – based on our experience – determine the appropriate carrier and shipping service. We will give you pricing and identify risks with each service.
Expedited shipping can include deliveries in 3 days, 2 days, next day, and even same day. Bear in mind that the cost of shipping goes up exponentially as the transit-time decreases.
Price: With expedited shipping, all shipping-related costs are paid by customer.
REFUNDS and SHIPPING GUARANTEES
We guarantee what we control – we guarantee we will turn-over the package to the carrier in a timely manner. If we fail to perform our duties, we will refund the fees. But we CANNOT guarantee the performance of the carrier.
Carriers will only issue a refund when a failure is their fault — and it is RARE for a carrier to acknowledge when they are at fault. Therefore, few failures qualify for a refund. Regardless, we will attempt to obtain a refund. If we can obtain a refund, we will pass it on to you.
For example, during certain conditions (for example, COVID), carriers will suspend all service guarantees.
DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY OF AN EXPEDITED SHIPMENT!
It’s okay to change your mind about your order before it arrives.
However, if you “refuse delivery” of an expedited shipment, you will be billed twice for the shipping: once for the shipment TO YOU, and again for the return shipping back to US. If you decide against buying the product: (1) call us and let us know, (2) accept the product from the carrier, and (3) we will send you a shipping label with which to return the product.

Most often, we will use postal service for orders to these locations.
If an order is returned (exchange or refund), shipping fees are not refundable.
Shipping, Canada — (new policy effective 01-MAR-2021)
01-March-2021: Transit times for Canadian orders has become so unpredictable that we cannot accept on-line orders going to Canada. We will still ship to Canada, but you need to call us with your order (and provide credit card information at that time). We sincerely regret the inconvenience.
We are still accepting PURCHASE ORDERS from Canadian Customers. We will ship your order right away, but please be aware that transit times may be longer than usual (expect 2-4 weeks).
We ship products to Canada via postal “priority” service. EXCEPTION: If you specify a brokerage service, we will ship via UPS GROUND.
You will receive tracking info via email when your order ships.
When your order arrives, you will be responsible for sales tax and a postal-processing fee. With postal shipments, you will not be responsible for duties/customs fees (that is part of our shipping fee). NOTE: shipments via UPS will be charged duties/customs at time of delivery.
Comment: We no longer routinely use UPS for Canadian shipments – all shipments to Canada are processed via the postal system, priority service. We will not use parcel post. This impacts Canadian shipments in three ways:
(1) modestly increases the initial shipping cost (overall cost is lower than UPS since there is no brokerage fee at time of delivery)
(2) increases the transit time (typical increase is 5 business days)
(3) in-transit tracking is less effective than UPS. Suggestion: use the Canadian Postal website for tracking after the package has crossed the boarder.
WE WILL SHIP IN A TIMELY MANNER, BUT WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSIT DELAYS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL e.g., package crossing the boarder, package held in customs, etc.
We ship internationally.

We will NOT ship collect on a customers’ UPS or FedEx account (no exceptions).
We will work with customers who arrange for carriers to pick up at our facility. This is a good option when using DHL.
When we ship internationally, we will email your receipt and tracking information when your order ships.
IT IS THE CUSTOMERS responsibility to ensure delivery of the order!
The customer is encouraged to monitor tracking and contact the carrier if there are any issues. The customer is responsible for shipping costs for undelivered orders — if we are charged for return shipping, the customer is responsible for that fee, too.

Note: Payment by personal check, cashiers check, etc. Do not send cash. We may wait for check to clear before shipping your order.
We only collect sales tax from customers when their order is shipped to an address in Illinois. We do not collect sales tax from Illinois customers with a valid state exemption number.
Please note: you may still owe sales tax to your state when you order from us. Check with your state’s taxing authority for details.
Customers outside the USA
All payments must be in US Dollars.
Customers outside the USA may be assessed any number of fees, including: brokerage, duty, national and/or local taxes, currency conversion, etc. when your order is delivered.
- These fees vary from country-to-country. Check with your country’s importing officials to determine fees that will apply to you.
- We do not have the means to determine these fees for you.
- IMPORTANT! If you have a customs broker, please include their name, phone number, and fax number — we include that information on the commercial invoice.
Payment via money wire is preferred. We will provide bank and account information at time of order. Customer may be charged $25 for money-wire fee.
Using a Purchase Order
We accept purchase orders from established schools, businesses, and churches. Our terms are “net 30” (though we make exceptions for organizations with different term requirements).

Credit Card Form
Most credit-card orders can be processed on-line.
However, for orders requiring a PRINTABLE credit card form, click this button.
Many years ago, we offered a quantity discount; but at some point we decided to price our products at the discount price so that all of our customers could benefit from the lower price.
We are the manufacturer and distributor of our products, so there is no “middle man”. Our prices are honestly as low as we can set them.
However, there are times where we can negotiate prices for a large number of systems (e.g., for a school district)… in these instances, there are savings associated with processing and shipping a large order to a customer (and we pass those savings on to that customer).
“I bought the wrong system – can I exchange it for a different system?”
Please contact us immediately and we can discuss exchange-for-credit options.
“What may be returned for refund?”
All “regular” NED products (that is, products that are not special order) may be returned for a refund. Duration of eligibility is listed below.
Our return policy only applies to complete systems, not replacement parts. If you have purchased parts you do not need, please contact us to evaluate options.
“Is there a time-frame for returns?”
You have 15 days from the day your order is delivered to evaluate it. If you decide to return it, please notify us during the 15 day evaluation period, and then ship the equipment back to us so that it’s returned to us before the 30th day.
“Do I get a full refund? Are there any fees?”
Customers exchanging one product for another are assessed no fees.
Customers returning equipment for refund will be assessed a 15% restock fee.
This is basically a “rental fee” that covers our original processing and shipping costs. We are a small company and cannot afford to absorb shipping and process costs for terminated orders. We go to a good deal of effort on our website to ensure customers can learn about our products and make an informed choice! IF IN DOUBT, please call and we can discuss options for your application!! We truly enjoy talking with prospective customers … and if we don’t have a product that fits your application, we’ll make suggestions about where you something that will work for you.
Refunds do not include fees for special services like customization, expedited shipping, shipping billed to the customer’s account, customs and brokerage fees, taxes, etc.
If you’re interested in ordering MULTIPLE systems but are not sure the equipment you’re ordering is right for your application, we suggest that you purchase one system to evaluate.
CUSTOM-MADE / MODIFIED EQUIPMENT
Equipment that is “custom-designed” or “modified” cannot be returned for refund. Please contact us immediately if the equipment we’ve provided does not have the functionality we discussed — we will work with you to ensure the equipment has the functionality you requested.
“What is the procedure for returning a product?”
STEP 1: LET US KNOW YOU’RE RETURNING A PRODUCT
Notify NED within 15 days.The customer must notify NED (Novel Electronic Designs, Inc) of their intent to return a product within 15 calendar days from the day the product was delivered to the customer’s shipping address. Sale is considered final if notification has not been received during the first 15 days.
Returned product must arrive within 30 days. NED must receive the product within 30 calendar days from the date product was delivered to the customer’s shipping address..
No returns will be accepted after the 30th day. Sale is final and no refund can be issued.
STEP 2: RETURN PRODUCT TO NED
Pack the product.
Use original packaging to securely pack the product. Ship the product to the NED address listed on the PACKING FORM that was included with your product.
Ship so that it arrives in time.
The customer must select a carrier and a mode of transportation (e.g., ground vs. second-day air) that will ensure timely delivery. As noted above, product must be received on-or-before the 30th day after product arrived at customer’s shipping address. Use a shipping method with delivery confirmation.
STEP 3: PRODUCT RECEIVED BY NED – REFUND ISSUED
NED must receive the product.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that return is delivered to NED. Please call NED or use your carrier’s tracking system to verify delivery.
The product must arrive in new and resalable condition.
The customer will be billed for missing, defaced, or damaged parts.
NED will notify the carrier if damage occurred en route.
NED will issue refund, and if applicable, a receipt will be emailed to the customer showing fees associated with the return.

IT IS THE CUSTOMER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE GOODNESS OF FIT FOR A PARTICULAR APPLICATION. PLEASE ADDRESS TECHNICAL QUESTIONS TO NOVEL ELECTRONIC DESIGNS, INC. REGARDING DETAILED PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS.
OUR EQUIPMENT IS DESIGNED TO BE USED IN A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTS, BUT WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER HOW OUR EQUIPMENT IS USED AND CANNOT BE LIABLE FOR MISUSE OR MISAPPLICATION.
IF YOU HAVE A MISSION-CRITICAL APPLICATION, YOUR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE PRESENTED TO AND APPROVED BY NOVEL ELECTRONIC DESIGNS BEFORE THE PURCHASE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
WE GUARANTEE THAT OUR EQUIPMENT WILL FUNCTION AS DESCRIBED ON OUR WEBSITE AND IN OUR DEMO VIDEOS. WE WILL HONOR WARRANTY CLAIMS TO CORRECT PROBLEMS WITH THE EQUIPMENT FOR THE LENGTH OF THE WARRANTY.

Warranty Terms and Conditions
1: LIMITED WARRANTY
Novel Electronic Designs, Inc. (NED) warrants the product designated herein to be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, for a duration (specified in the following table) from the date of shipment to the original purchaser:
carry cases (see case manufacturer’s warranty)
All quiz-lockout systems and timers (see “5 year” items for extended warranties)
Team-Box Lockout System
This Warranty is subject to the following conditions and limitations. The Warranty is void and inapplicable if the product has been:
* used or handled other than in accordance with the instructions in the owner’s manual
abused or misused
* damaged by accident or neglector while being transported
* repaired or modified by anyone other than Novel Electronic Designs, Inc.
The product must be packed and returned to NED by the customer at his or her sole expense. NED will pay return freight of its choice (international customers see item #7). A RETURNED PRODUCT MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A WRITTEN DESCRIPTION OF THE DEFECT. NED reserves the right to modify the design of any product without obligation to purchasers of previously manufactured products and to change the prices or specifications of any product without notice or obligation to any person.
Special Note: The warranty is also voided if any of the following occur:
- product has been modified or serviced by someone not authorized by NED
- use of wrong type of lamps
- use of cables other than those supplied by NED
- use of cables with connectors installed by someone other than NED
- use of a power pack not supplied by NED
- operating the power pack at voltages or frequencies outside the range specified on the power pack.
In the event the above product fails to meet the above Warranty and the above conditions have been met, the purchaser’s sole remedy under this Limited Warranty shall be to return the product to NED where the defect will be rectified without charge for parts or labor, except the carrying case.
4: LIMITED TO ORIGINAL PURCHASER
This Warranty is for the sole benefit of the original purchaser of the covered product and shall not be transferred to a subsequent purchaser of the product.
5: DURATION OF WARRANTY
This Warranty expires on the anniversary of the date of shipment from NED (see #1 for durations for each product).

7: WARRANTY OUTSIDE THE U.S.A.
Novel Electronic Designs will fulfill the conditions of the warranty. Such product must be returned at the owner’s expense to the NED factory, together with a photocopy of the bill of sale for that product, a detailed description of the problem, and any information necessary for return shipment. International Customers are responsible for return-shipping fees.
